Edward Norton is a great actor. But, is he suitable to play Hulk / Bruce Banner? One wants to say no. The only reason why he was chosen for this role is his stick thin figure. It would give a clear distinction onscreen when the character turns into the green humanoid monster. But, the problem is, when the transfiguration occurs, it just doesn't add up looking related.
Tim Roth is a powerful villain cast. The issue here is his (Emil Blonsky's) obsession towards Hulk isn't understandable. His willingness to be a part of the super soldier experiment isn't fully convincible either, hence the low dosage mention.
Beginning premise fast-forward is lame, but this does not mean that the script is so too. The basic plot & writing for this film is better than most superhero movies Marvel has ever churned out. It takes its protagonist seriously by fleshing him out through actions. Looking at his sufferings, we would all root for him to cure from the so-called super power.
Bruce & Elizabeth really do reciprocate, even does Hulk with her! Brazil townhouses setting boosted the chases. The initial blood drop scenes baits you to rest of the proceedings. It's only when the uncalled-for attack by the army troop happens that things start to hamper down one's mood.
Abomination is a damned cool & formidable adversary who even stirs fear in The Incredible Hulk, but only if it was eliminated from the script, the film wouldn't have been called the same.
Towards the Third Act, one could say for sure there's studio interference in the project, where messy action sequences & laughable illogical moments start to appear, just to accommodate the epic finale action block! This second installment in Marvel's Cinematic Universe remains as a classic example of how a movie with full potentials could be man-slaughtered for box office earnings!
"Hulk smash!"
