When you're penning an action-packed script, the answer to the type of scenes the screenplay should have is in the genre itself. Actions! Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely are the screenwriters, and these guys very well know how to write it!
With an introduction to Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) & his tip-top invincible physique teasing Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) 'on your left' during a morning jog, you know you're up for some good time! Writers' wit is seen when they were able to use the small poke-fun to indicate that the latter has become Captain America's official right-hand aka sidekick by the end of the film!
In this sequel to Earth's first Avenger, the story feeds us on the man who's been adapting to contemporary times. Rogers jotting down things that he should catch up on a notebook is a quick visual clip that shows you what's been going on in this man's life at the background. One fact that's very endearing about Captain America is his uniform characterization, no pun intended. Trust. Loyalty. Friendship. Patriotism. Always.
With a pulsating soundtrack loaded with catchy action sequences ranging from the sabotage of Nick Fury on road, S.H.I.E.L.D. cat-and-mouse chase, Helicarrier nosediving, elevator brawl, pursuit across housings, first stealth mode operation to the highway rumble, this motion picture doesn't let you rest with its espionage thriller vibe! There're always perspicuous plans & clear executions from all sides!
Captain America's tribute presentation booths are awesome. That's grounded to reality, right there! His rapport with Black Widow is brilliant. Makeup for old Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) could have been better. Isn't it odd or indolent writing for Arnim Zola (Toby Jones) to admit his treason himself through the databank profile? Stalling doesn't seem like a justifying reason. Rogers could have easily crushed the controller chip that's in hand during his fight with the Winter Soldier, don't you think so? What sort of future threats meant by Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández)?
Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) is a minatory antagonist & a great challenge to Captain America, emotionally & physically. You could feel the friendship between these guys even though both are logger heads toward each other. To have another comic book character named Falcon is nice. Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow & Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury dazzles.
